“God can’t possibly use me”

I so agree with every word she said.

anybody but meGrowing up there was only one thing I wished more than anything in the world: to be anybody but me.

I wished I was that girl in middle school who wore the cute clothes, always had the perfect hairstyle, and never had a frown on her face.

I had to wear hand me down’s most of the time, life wasn’t always so peachy, and I was lucky if my curly hair wasn’t a mess.

I wished I was the girl from church who sang so angelically and everything about her was perfect, from her voice, to her family, to her face.

I had no special talent, no perfect family and friends, and I couldn’t carry a tune if my life depended on it.

I wished I was the girl who was confident, beautiful, and bold. She always knew how to lead and take control and had the right thing to…

Romans 1:16

Uno, Uno, Seis. Uno, Uno, Seis. Inside joke, sort of! Here is a verse for this week.

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

Devotion #5

So the other day I was reading in Matthew, and stumbled across some things that I thought would make a great lesson/devotion, for all of us. So when Jesus was calling His disciples to follow Him, here’s what happened. From Matthew 4:19-22
‘”Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “I will make you fishers of men.” At once they left their nets and followed Him.
Going on from there, he saw two brothers, James the son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with there father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called to them, and immediately they left their father and followed Him.’
Now the key words that really popped out at me were, at once and immediately. They didn’t even hesitate. It says they immediately followed Him. They didn’t ask their father if they could go, they just went! it didn’t say, ‘a day later they found Jesus and followed Him. No! They went right then, no question! And that is what we need to do in our lives. We need to follow Him, what ever He says, and do it now!
I think the song above really sums it all up, we need to take the back seat and let God lead us!
