Tomorrow

tomorrow

Tomorrow. What is tomorrow? Better yet where is tomorrow and when will it show up? You know the saying, “tomorrow never comes.” It’s true. Then why do we always say, “Oh, it can wait.” or “I’ll do it tomorrow.” Why do we think so much about what will happen tomorrow when we can do it today? God says this about tomorrow in Matthew 6:34.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

And Joyce Meyers says, “When we worry about tomorrow we waste today.”

Lately I have been so caught up in my future plans and what will happen in the next few months that I have been wasting my time right now. I need to remind myself to make TODAY count. These lyrics from Tomorrow (from Annie) came to mind.

The sun’ll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
‘Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!
You’re always
A day
A way!

Tomorrow is always a day away. That goes back to what I mentioned in the beginning of this post, tomorrow never comes. So why wait for tomorrow to do what you could do today?  I am challenging myself, but also am challenging y’all this next week try to not worry about tomorrow but focus on what you can accomplish today. My verse for this year also goes hand in hand with this.

Psalm 118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it.”

And here is a bonus song for y’all. (I own nothing! All rights go to Mandisa and producers)

  1. I found out that I’m moving….I’ve been so worried about tomorrow that I haven’t focused on today. This was so helpful! Thank you. 🙂
